Welcome to the Groundskeepers Shed.

Showcase for various scenic effects, grounds maintenance and building construction.

First attempt at a dry, stacked stone wall to be used as a border for fields. I used a strip of cork with one edge rough cut. I applied a layer of white glue and then sprinkled on railroad ballast. Once dry it will get another coat of thinned out glue to bond it together and then a wash of dark paint and a dry brushing of grey.

Not really happy with the look of the first. So I rolled out some clay and started pressing some large pieces of model railroad gravel. I'll pour a mold of this and see how the castings look.
